With a delicious festive menu using locally sourced produce, there can be no better place to celebrate Christmas than with friends, family or colleagues.
Our Christmas Party Menu is served with a twist at The Kitchen, bringing you the most exquisite seasonal tastes on a plate in two or three courses. From 24 Hour Cooked Ox Cheek, Roast Stone Bass and Baked Portobello Mushrooms to name but a few, it is fair to say the festive season will be full of veritable delights.
Dan – Head Chef, chats about the menu choices and what The Kitchen has in store for those who walk through the doors.
“We like to mix things up a little at The Kitchen, so we’ve selected a range of seasonal dishes that are perfect to get into the Christmas spirit. The starters include Salmon Confit, Warwickshire Pheasant Pâté, Celeriac Soup and the to-die-for Cerney Goats Cheese Salad.
On the mains menu is the 24 hour cooked Ox cheeks with chorizo, red wine and butter mash. Slow cooked and outrageously flavoursome, this is comfort food at its best. A firm favourite with the team when we were tasting the options for the Christmas menu.
We will also be serving a truly fabulous Goose Pie. 100 years ago Goose was the traditional bird that most British people would tuck into, so we are offering a hearty meal that tastes amazing and is packed full of flavour.
For those who don’t fancy meat, the Roast Stone Bass or Baked Portobello Mushroom are both fantastic choices and wonderfully satisfying.
When it comest to Puddings my personal favourite is the Chocolate Orange, although it is a tough call to make! This pudding oozes chocolatey delight and simply melts in the mouth. The perfect way to end your meal.
All of our food is sourced locally, much of which is grown in our Kitchen Garden. Our meat is sourced from award winning butchers Aubrey Allen, who hold the Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen. Aubrey Allen rear using the purest farming methods and share our philosophy when it comes to sustainable ethical food. We were delighted to meet with Lucy Allen this morning, Lucy shared news and talked about all the amazing things that are happening at Aubrey Allen. We can’t wait to write all about it in our next blog!
